Juniper berries contain diuretic and antiinflammatory properties that make this herb useful for chronic cystitis, nephritis, arthritis, rheumatism, gout, and for flatulent colic. The herb has been used traditionally to treat gastritis, flatulence, rheumatism, cystitis, and intestinal worms, as well as a diuretic and in steam inhalations for bronchitis.
